Aim:
The Youth for change project is a project targeted at promoting HIV/AIDS among in school adolescents in Edo state of Nigeria. The project was actually a pilot project that was implemented in one school.
 
Method / Issue:
The project partnered with Ministry of Education, Ministry of health and non Governmental organization working in the area of HIV/AIDS . A sensitization seminar was organized for all the students and partners to acquint them of the project after which some students were selected for training as peer educators. The project trained 10 in school Youths of Akenzua Grammer school as peer educators. Information booklet titled: What young people should know was developed Produced and distributed to the students during the sensitization seminar and training of the peer educators
 
Results / Comments:
Approximately 2,000 youths were sensitized on HIV/AIDS. Ten students were trained as peer educators, certificates were given. The trained peer educator were asked to prepare their Action plan for one year.
