Aim:
- To explore the issues of male sex workers in Chiangmai, the northern part of Thailand. - To examine the role of NGO, MPlus Project, in HIV/AIDS protection for those male sex workers in the areas.
 
Method / Issue:
-Analysis the method that being used by the MPlus Project to raise awareness of those male sex work in HIV/AIDS protection as well as to prevent HIV/AIDS with men who have sex with men. -Interview sex workers in the sex business-oriented, such as gay bars and saunas to understand how these male sex workers construct their social and sexual spaces.
 
Results / Comments:
The effectiveness of NGO has been limited not only the lack of technical competencies and funds, but also due to the lack of individuals undertaking preventative actions in order to make progress in HIV/AIDS prevention.
 
Discussion:
The paper suggests that the effectiveness of NGOs progression in HIV/AIDS prevention is to understand the ways in which these male sex workers construct their social and sexual spaces, and how these spaces affect individuals undertaking preventative actions in both terms, accessibility of the contraceptives and the education of HIV/AIDS awareness.
