  Aim:
Despite the efforts of communities, associations and financial resources made available by donors on preventing HIV / AIDS, the number of new HIV infections remains a major concern worldwide and the RDC. The 3 methods of prevention advocated by the various programs against HIV / AIDS, namely abstinence, faithfulness and condom use, fail to significantly reduce new infections respond to these moral barriers and cultural population on HIV/AIDS. DRC in December 2007, estimates made by the National Program of Fight against AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections reported that about 1,330,120 people were living with HIV. These estimates have been conducted with pregnant women in sentinel sites across the country. If nothing is done, the DRC should begin from the year 2006 at least 900,000 new cases of infection. The provinces whose levels of knowledge of these two means of HIV prevention are the lowest are the Eastern Province (36%) for women and (45%) for men. The overall objective is to determine the moral and cultural barriers of the population in three ways to prevent HIV / AIDS. The specific objectives are: (1) identify the moral and cultural barriers related to abstinence, faithfulness and condom use.
